My dad had alzheimer's. When his symptoms first started appearing, and probably before we even realized what was going on, I remember going out to eat with the family. And we're sitting in the restaurant and he just said...'my mind doesn't feel right.' He knew, even at the beginning when there were still more good moments than bad, he knew there was something going on.It's gotta be terrifying to feel something like that and not be able to quite put your finger on what's wrong. That was over 20 years ago and I don't remember how prevalent alzheimer's discussions were as compared to now. But every time I can’t quite grasp a new concept or wrap my head around something, I wonder if this is the beginning for me.
