Am I missing any implied sarcasm? Even I don't get 'art' or see anything spectacular in the final product but the process is pretty crazy and can't imagine the teamwork and dedication those people had to go on with it for 5 years. They took on a seemingly tough challenge and achieved their goal and it is pretty stupid to say these people wasted their lives just because you can't see any value in it.

I dated a guy with a wrangler. He couldn’t afford to properly have it lifted and whatnot, just a DIY body lift and some big tires. The thing was a hunk of junk... super uncomfortable. I would says that’s almost impossible. I manage a venue on Long Island and we do (did) tons of these types of events. You have to pay per head. And the food and tables and every exact detail are all planned around the number of attendees. You can’t just suddenly have 50 extra people show up. For starters I'm not sure why it's called 'denatured' alcohol, because you're not doing anything to the actual alcohol molecule. They just throw in additives to make it taste REALLY bad. The idea that denatured alcohol is toxic is a holdover from the prohibition era where Feds spiked industrial alcohol with shit like benzene. Methanol (mentioned in the comment below), in particular, tastes the same as ethanol so people drinking it would just die after a bout of horrible symptoms. And since the main reason for denaturing alcohol is to dissuade people from drinking it, not kill them, it makes more sense to prevent people from wanting to swallow it to begin with, as opposed to ensuring someone who does drink it has a bad time. Now this doesn't mean the additives aren't toxic to some degree, just that they won't kill you.
