My sister had stage 4 lung cancer and was given approximately seven months to live. I asked her doctor off the record if she was in my sister’s place, what treatment would she choose for herself? She said she would forgo chemo, get a shit ton of pain meds and enjoy her last days. I’ve watched my mother, sister and father go through the hell that is chemo and all lost their battle with cancer in the end. If I’m ever dx’ed with an end stage cancer, I plan on following that doctor’s advice.
