I mean our kids look like us, but they still usually look quite different as well, sometimes the similarities are striking and people are commenting on that. For example, I have some similarities to my father, but not so much that anyone would comment on it. My brother on the other hand . . . If you froze my dad and thawed him out 20 years later you could convince him he has a twin. I think whenever its related to someone famous it just gets over exaggerated since this is the internet. It's less about people not understanding how genetics works and more about our culture's obsession with famous people.
