For starters I'm not sure why it's called 'denatured' alcohol, because you're not doing anything to the actual alcohol molecule. They just throw in additives to make it taste REALLY bad. The idea that denatured alcohol is toxic is a holdover from the prohibition era where Feds spiked industrial alcohol with shit like benzene. Methanol (mentioned in the comment below), in particular, tastes the same as ethanol so people drinking it would just die after a bout of horrible symptoms. And since the main reason for denaturing alcohol is to dissuade people from drinking it, not kill them, it makes more sense to prevent people from wanting to swallow it to begin with, as opposed to ensuring someone who does drink it has a bad time. Now this doesn't mean the additives aren't toxic to some degree, just that they won't kill you.

More realistically the US would try to install a puppet government by supporting compromised politicians. They would then dismante media that isn't sympathetic and replace it with propaganda machines. Canadian institutuons would be made to take unfavorable deals with us partners so that a breakup would be more painful. Simultaneously they would encourage discontent in the population so we turn on each other instead of the outside threat. They don't need to invade to take over. This isn't necessarily true. It all depends on how the business's taxes are setup. I have a LLC that is taxed as an S corp. For an s corp the business doesn't pay taxes on profits at all. The business only pays ss, medicare and unemployment taxes based on wages paid to employees. At the end of the year, profits are calculated and the profits or loss are then passed on to the owner/owners via a K-1 that they have to report and pay income taxes on their 1040(personal return). The owners can keep that money in their business, but it is technically their money that they can take out of the business at anytime as a distribution without paying any additional taxes on it since it's already been accounted for.
